Revit "2020" plug in automatic door swing updated in schedule

Any one know of a plugin that automatic updates the door swing in schedules. If I have a door parameter "left, right or double" swing and change the door it will reflex it in the schedule, I've done this with Dynamo back in 2016 but could not get it to work in 2020. I would rather just pay for a plugin that doesn't involve dynamo.

I did find Archigrafix xDoor addin but can't tell if its what I'm looking for.

Thanks

Not sure I understand. We do this via a Shared Instance Parameter in the Door Family itself.  That Shared Parameter is included in the Schedule.

You need to install Archilab package for Dynamo.  It works for me in Revit 2022.

Xdoor is a plugin that among other things does swing classification of doors. Can split between single and double doors as well. You can see the demo video and download the trial in the Revit app store. Check the address under.

Keep in mind with any of this, whether its an add in or Dynamo, that your doors need to be built consistently for any of it to work. Revit isn't smart enough to read the actual handing of doors, but it reads if the family has been flipped. So all of your families need to be built as either LH or RH, not a mix.

Yes, I did set them up correctly and back in 2016 my dynamo worked perfectly, Its been a while since I've used it and keep getting a mirage of errors thus remembering how much I hate dynamo.

Thanks

Another way if you want to be 100% independent from Dynamo or Add-in:

- Create a door family with flip controls

- Make 4 copies (LH, RH, LHR, RHR), delete all content but keep parameters

- Nest the original door family in the 4 above, flip it properly according to the name of the family

- Place doors in project using these 4 families, do not mirror
