Hi all, I am facing an issue where when my Revit family is imported to the project, it shows additional dropdown items from the list. I knew the reason for it, wanted to know if there is any way to avoid this.

You mean you don't want the drop-down?

I understand that it refers to the fact that, with a "type selection" parameter (nested generic model as seen in the photo) within a family, types from other families of generic models appear in the dropdown within the project, families not nested and not related to the loaded parent family.

Yes, i dont want other dropdowns after loading in project except casters

Yes, right is there any way that even if we kept the casters family in generic model category and after loading it in a project other generic families should not appear in dropdown except casters.

No, Revit just loops in all family types of that category. Improvements have been requested for a long time. 

A workaround is to find another category to assign those elements to. Looks like they're in generic models now.

You can also narrow your selection by using family templates with different hosting.

A nested family that is unhosted and has a family type parameter will not list face hosted nested families of the same category in the list.
