Revit not rendering BIM objects

Hi,

I am having trouble, majority of the objects I am loading in from bim object arent rendering in revit or enscape for revit.

https://new.bimobject.com/en/edra/product/Sofas

It is this specific sofa in pink that I am stuck with at the moment, I have tried applying my own images and bump in the material editor for the materials with the sofa but its still just grey... having the same issue with most of my bim objects unfortunately.

Am I doing something wrong? 😞

So, it sounds like this is an issue with assigning your Material to the RFA geometry.  Post the RFA here.

You're pretty limited with this family. The sofa was created with another software and inserted into Revit. Did you apply your custom image and settings to the Appearance Tab of the Material named "Render Material 128-128-128"?

...actually, scratch that and do this instead:

Under the Type Properties for the sofa in the Project View,  change the "BOSUseNativeGeometries" parameter to "1" and "BOS_0_Visibility" parameter to "1", and then apply your custom image/settings to the Appearance Tab of the Material that is displaying next to the "BOS_0_Material" parameter.

FWIW: this is not an easy family to figure out.  There are parametric formulas controlling combinations of visibilities and materials.  You need a freaking users manual to operate the darn thing! Betcha they had one -- along with  Materials --  at the site you downloaded it from.

There are two cushion geometries in the family:

- CAD Import: visible when BOSUseNativeGeometries = 0, and the material is NOT changeable via Object Styles > Import Objects (perhaps the model wasn't created ByLayer)

- Freeform element: visible when BOSUseNativeGeometries = 1 and the material is defined by BOS_0_Material parameter

I have no idea why they need the CAD Import in the family while the much cleaner looking freeform element is already there.  So yes, you can do what @barthbradley suggested to change the material of the cushion.  I would actually go to the next step and get rid of the CAD Import altogether, and enter '1' in the formula box instead of the value box so it is permanent.
