Revit modelling in LOD 350

Hi All,

We have been asked to model part of our building in LOD 350 and my understanding of this means we need to model walls, ceilings, etc. in its separate components - separate studs, insulation, plasterboard layers, etc. I find this excessive and totally against the way revit works but never mind....

If I have to model the wall as separate layers, how would I host the door into the wall as the wall would technically have as many as 5 layers in it- surely someone has come across this before? Also if the door is hosted in a 13mm thick plasterboard layer then the frame would only be the depth of this and not the total depth of the overall partition of which the plasterboard layer is only part.

Any ideas or thoughts would be welcome!

Hello!

It includes model detail and element that represent how building elements interface with various systems and other building elements with graphics and written definitions.

               LOD 100 cost/ sf attached to floor slabs

               LOD 200 Light Fixture, generic / approximate size / shape / location

               LOD 300 Design specified 2x4 Troffer, specific size / shape / Location

               LOD 350 Actual Model, Lightolier DPA2G12LS232, specific size / shape / location.

               LOD 400 As 350 plus special mounting details.

LOD 350: Shop Drawing Stage

   -contractor amend model based on material/brand approval, insert few detail element such as (hanger, bracket, actual fittings size, etc), final coordination

Yes I was aware of this posting but I wondered if anyone had any solutions to the issues I've identified, any further assistance would be appreciated

confirm the door family is set correctly to be received by the wall.

is the door family hosted by a generic wall and is that generic wall adjustable?

is wrapping active what is it set for ?

Interior , Exterior , Both, or None

is your Wall Closure set by Host ?

if your wall types have been predetermined try selecting a different wall type to see how it responds then switch it back to the correct wall type
