Revit Materials missing.

My materials on a Revit project is not showing in the model.

We workshare our projects so multiple people can work on the same project. When one person places a material on an element then when another person opens the file the material is missing.

The file paths are the same on all our computers for the Revit file and the materials.

We have been having an issue with this for a few months now.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Did you add custom material path to server so people will have access the same material? I would recommend adding path and point to the server for common material library.

Yes, I have added a render appearance path. Our path is located on a server so all computers can access the same path. This does not fix the issue.

Are you using VPN or other remote desktop app to access to server? Is your project on BIM360? I've heard issues with BIM360 reading custom material.

After spending a few hours on a fix we finally found one. I added a link to the "render appearance path" to just the drive (G:/) where the materials are located. This seems to be working.

Thanks for your help.
