2 questions:

if I sign up for 1 year subscription for Revit LT now, what version is current, 2015, 2016, or 2017?

will this current version successfully install in a Parallels 12 environment on imac/Sierra with 16 GB Ram?

thanks

Hi @Anonymous,

Revit LT 2017 is the current version. You can obtain a Trial here to ensure that you do not run into any issues installing it on your MAC.

Hi John,

Thanks for your reply, but my question is not answered yet.

I currently use Autocad LT 2015 in Windows 7 thru Boot Camp on my Imac. I want to start using Revit LT, and am considering adding RAM to my machine and changing to Parallels to replace Boot Camp. Before making these expenditures, I wanted to get verification that the current Revit LT system available via subscription will load and run OK in Windows 7, running on Parallels 12.

Thanks again,

Hi @Anonymous,

I run Revit (full product) in Bootcamp on my Mac. I don't have Parallels running so I can't confirm how well that functions. I suggest you download the free trial and give it a go.

If I recall, Parallels can be removed rather easily if it does not work well for you. I would check the manufacturer's website for more info.

My Revit seems to work pretty well - I have no complaints.

Thanks John, you are right, I could always revert to Boot Camp if there issues with running in Parallels 12.

Any one else tried Revit LT in Parallels 12 yet?

I'm just following up on this post. Here's a few links with additional information on running Revit on a MAC.

System requirements for Autodesk Revit 2017 products go to the bottom of the page and see Learn More.

In short Revit will run on Parallels. Thanks for posting and me know if you have additional questions or comments.

Thanks Alan,

Link you suggested mentions Parallels 11. I am inquiring about Parallels 12.

Parallels 12 was not tested by the development team as it came to market after Revit 2017 (LT) were released. However, from reading several forum posts it appears that many users are running in Parallels 12. My assumption here is it will, and I'm sure that the development team will be testing 2017 and 2018 and releasing System Requirements just prior to the release of 2018.

Let me know if this addresses your question.

Thanks again.
