Revit Lt - shift key not working

Hi, I'm using Revit LT on a mac through Parallels.  While working in Revit I have lost function of my shift key so I cannot type in the inches (") or fractions (/) symbols etc.  Instead I get either a capital E with an accent or a lower case version.  Super frustrating.  Any thoughts?

My friend had the same issue for his mac (laptop) and he had to hook up a separate keyboard. Kind of sucks but it's what he had to do.

It turned out to be an issue with Parallels - the keyboard keeps changing from US to Canadian multilingual and when it does that it causes the problem so as long as I keep it on the US keyboard all seems to work fine!
