Revit LT realistic trees

Hi brains trust,

I have four elevations, all with the same properties. Only one is showing realistic trees. All the others only show the trees' outline.

Any ideas how to show realistic trees in all views? I thought perhaps the trees were being cut of by the referring view but that is not the case.

Please help!

The views must be Realistic or Ray Trace visual style.

Are they the same family? If they are, then it's a question of level of display detail. Look at the bottom left corner of your screen to switch level of detail around. As a matter of fact, that could be the case even if they are different families. To check - select the tree, and click on Edit Family.

It may be that the trees are two separate families, and one really does not show realistic details at all. In that case, switch the outline tree family out with the realistic tree family.

On a final note - I have my issues with realistic tree families - not only are they ruinous of Revit's computing abilities, but they distract from the main focus of the drawing - which is the building. The bubblegum trees do not do that. Just my two cents.

This is a sheet view and it looks like the building view (shaded) is placed over the other view with trees with realistic view settings. Putting one view over the other on the sheet, can get you some interesting visual effects - see this.

No Ray Trace visual style in Revit LT. (Just so folks know.)

Love the reference to "bubblegum" trees.....

I have noticed that my program wont let me rotate the 3d cube very well when Im viewing in realistic detail, but a quick toggle to hidden line solves that.  I love the 3d trees and shrubbery when working with outdoor spaces...

It does seem that I can toggle the graphic detail levels independently within the different views...

Thanks all.

I went with the bubblegum solution - not solved, just compromised 🙂
