I am modeling a really strange stair that is beyond OOB. I am modeling the risers and treads individually. I've had no problem with the risers. I'm thinking of modeling the treads as floors in 3/4" plywood. How can I achieve the bullnose edge?

Thank you

In several ways considering it is  a floor element,

  • you can add a slab edge
  • Use a subtractive approach: simply cut the with a void (in place or a floor based generic component)
  • use an additive approach: instead of cutting use a loadable sweep to serve as a bullnose. It can be a line based or floor based generic model

This all sounds interesting, but is (currently) outside my skill set. Can you point me to a tutorial or a video which would demonstrate any of these techniques? Also, are these techniques available in Revit LT?

Thank you,
