REVIT LT 2017 Families Library

I have installed Revit LT 2017 but none of the materials or families libraries have installed. I've looked on the community forum and tried the recommended solutions of uninstall/reinstall and manually downloading and saving the XML file. I get the required check-boxes when selecting what content to download and have tried both English & us metric, following which I am being told installation has completed successfully. However when I check within the C drive location, there is no sign of any family or materials libraries. I have now been at this a couple of days and have used up most of my data allowance in download/uninstall and download again.

Any assistance gratefully received.

1. how or where from are u installing? Is it webinstall or downloading and installing locally?
2. did u check under c:\programdata\Autodesk\RVT (version) 

if u r going for webinstall u might/could experience all sorts of odd behavior all depending on how your IT setup is configured, Internet connection, firewall, AV, User Access...etc, and the list is long. I usually download the installation files from Autodesk Virtual Agent, extract and run the installation locally...that always worked perfectly ok

You are correct, I used Webinstall

Have now located the template files by viewing hidden files and have updated the links to them from Revit, however I still don't think it's all working quite right so would like to try download then install.

How do I access virtual Agent whilst logged on to my account (or log onto my account whilst in virtual agent) - when I use the links you provided I can find the downloads but can't access them.

You don't need to be logged in...there is a link in my signature below. Download >> extract >> installation runs automatically (do not install anything thou...u just need the libraries and templates; unless your current installation is broken and u want to reinstall everything in such case you will need to clean uninstall first the reinstall using the files you downloaded from virtual agent - then use your current credentials to activate)

I just bought Revit LT yesterday and I am having some big issues. 

1. There are no templates

2. There is no viewcube in the floor plan, and no elevation markers, which are standard when you open any Revit product

3. There are no families. When I to to put an item in, it asks me if I want to load one. When I say yes, it takes me to a lot of folders with coded names that I do not recognize.

I keep getting this opening message:

"The path you have specified for the default family template files is invalid."

I set up a phone appointment for this morning, but no one called. After you pay them, there is no more "chatting", no more specialist to call and sell you. You are on your own with forums. I'm no IT guy. I just use Revit for my interior dwgs. The trials worked fine. This is completely ridiculous.
