Revit Locking Up (Unresposnive) When Changing View Scale & Other Actions

I'm trying to utilize a revit model (from a different company) to create views for an RFI.  I'm working within their revit model, I did not link it to a new model.  I've created a plan view and it will lock up (seemingly indefinitely) when I try to change the change the view scale or turn on annotation crop.  I've had to force quit several times over the past two days.  See attached journal files.  Does anyone have insight no the cause and potential fixes?

EDIT: Additional Info.  I'm able to change the plan view scale via a view template, but it is locking up when I try to add that view to a sheet.

Do other projects (of similar size and complexity) work fine? Can you get the file again in case there was a data error?

Can you try to upgrade it to a newer Revit version and see if that fixes it? Did you audit?

i didn't look t the journal files and I'm not qualified to interpret them anyway. But the above would be my first steps.

Revit Version: R2026.2
Hardware: i9 14900K, 64GB, Nvidia RTX 2000 Ada 16GB
Add-ins: ElumTools; Ripple-HVAC; ElectroBIM; Qbitec

Have you tried linking into a new model?

Yes, similar projects run fine, and this project runs fine usually.  I'm on the current version of Revit 2024, and I tried auditing the file.

Yes, the issue is not occurring when I link the problematic model into another model.

Then I would do just that. Link it and do your work in the host model.

I completed my task using a workaround, but I never resolved the root issue.
