Revit link to 3D Max and not exporting to FBX

Anonymous
Not applicable

I have a student version of the latest Revit and 3D Max.
#1- I cannot export as FBX from Revit, it is "greyed out" as an option. I am in a proper 3D view.

#2- When I try to link a Revit file to 3D Max it says and "exception occurred" and will not link.

Why can I not do this?

Thanks for any help.

3ds max will able to import Revit file natively. So you don't need to export FBX and then import FBX into 3ds max.

import 3dmax.png

Hmm...something is wrong with your 3d view - Kaveh.s. The 3d view might be corrupted. The FBX export was stuck at 41%. If I open up regular 3d view and export FBX, it works. See attached FBX file.
