Revit keeps crashing

We are working on a larger Revit project (hotel remodel) and we have inserted a CADMapper DXF CAD mapper file (to provide context of the surrounding area like adjacent building massing, flatwork, topography, etc.). Revit crashes every time we insert a family such as plantings in the site. This only started after we had inserted the CADMapper site data. Revit is also not creating a backup file. As a result, we are unable to recover the work. We get this error message: "A software problem has caused  Revit to close unexpectedly..."

CAD mapper has been used in the past with another project without any problems.

Please advise of any possible solutions. Thank you in advance for any help.

Hard to help you troubleshoot based on the limited info you've provided.

You're kidding.  How about we start off with the Version/Build of Revit and the Operating System?

The DXF doesn't cause any issues here.  Must be your Revit model itself.

The Revit file (upgraded to 2022) doesn't crash here either.

A personal note: if your CAD files are for reference only then link each in a specific plan/rcp view with the box Current view only ticked so that they don't make a mess in other views including 3d views.

Also, go though Warnings and fix as many as you can.

Thank you @ToanDN . The dxf file was removed prior to uploading to the post because we felt it was creating the crash and had to move forward in our work. Did you place the the dxf yourself?

Thank you for the note on the warnings. We will look into them.

Yes.

If you have any 3rd party add INS then disable them.

Hello @ToanDN ,

We are trying to resolve the warnings as per your suggestion. The first 19 warnings are "Could not create Wall Sweep. Two wall sweeps are overlapping." How can we resolve these warnings and better achieve the exterior finishes we are modeling?
