Revit -imported image not visible

I am failing to import an editable png into revit to use as a base plan for conceptual massing ,I keep receiving a message that says "the imported image will not be visible in projects.to improve performance,delete the image before saving the family ". It allows me to get the image into revit but I am not able to work ontop of it even scale it any solutions or how tos?

What is the resolution of the image? If it is too big, perhaps try to reduce it.

Are you sure that the imported Image is not Pinned ? If it is pinned you will be not allowed to scale or move it.

Anyway pinning is necessary in order not to move it by accident while you draw over it.

If you want to draw over a bitmap (image file) as .png is , you will not be able to use snaping as in case of using an imported CAD file in the background.

As about the message , that is a normal one , once the Mass Element loaded into a Project the background image it will be not necessary anymore and the file will decrease if you erase the bitmap
