Revit IFC export mesh representation?

Hello,

I exported Revit family created from extrusions/revolve/sweep form to IFC2x3, it returns a mesh representation (many polygons).

How to export the project to IFC2x3 shape representation as exactly like the original Revit project (less lines, as a simple profile sweep along the path).

I do not think that you can. If you look closely into Revit you will see for example that a circle is not really a circle but more linked a series of short straight lines. So these models are exported to IFC and then converted into a mesh where every faces is divided into triangles or quads. So Revit and IFC use different formats to store geometry in the model. I am not sure if there are tools that can export it more cleanly from Revit or if there are tools to clean/optimize the meshes after the conversion.

Different question, why are you worried about these lines anyway?

Please mention Revit version, especially when uploading Revit files.
