REVIT FAMILY VISIBILITY/GRAPHIC OVERRIDES QUESTION

I want to make all my furniture light grey color. So I type "VG" and change the "projection/surface-lines" color to be light grey. It worked for most of my furniture families. But some furniture families are still black color, I think because under "properties" tab these furniture are showing" Furniture (1)" instead of "Furniture".

So any clue how to make all the furniture families light grey color in "VG" command?

Please see the attachment for details.

Thanks in advance.

-Check settings in Object Styles for furniture

-Check if View Template is in use, if so, check VG settings of view template for furniture

-See if there are any imported Cad files in the Families--under Imports in Families

They maybe created under a subcategory of Furniture. Check the VG of the subcategories too.

I have the same issue as outlined above, but none of your recommendations are working for me. No Sub-category, changing object styles does not work, and there are no cad files imported. When I hover over the element, you can see the dashed line, but when clicked or in the view it stays solid.

Since the OP was satisfied with solution marked, your situation may be different. I would suggest starting your own thread and attaching the family so that a different solution can be marked for your situation.

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

Well its the exact same question. Pretty much word for word. One question can have multiple solutions, which is the case for this, and I have since figured out the solution for my version of that question....

Solution

Silhouettes was set to a line-type in Model Display within the View Template. Set this to none and voila!
