Revit Family Not Visible in Plan View but is in 3D View - Revit 2019

So I made a basic 3D family using the electrical family template, but when I try to place it in my model, I get the following yellow warning message:

"None of the created elements are visible in Floor Plan: 00_Ground Level View. You may want to check the active view, its Parameters, and Visibility settings, as well as any Plan Regions and their settings."

This family does place, but it's only visible in 3D views of the room and not the plan layout (which is where I need to see it most importantly).

I have also attached the family and a couple of screenshots of the plan view and 3D view of the family.

i would ask you to check visibility settings, and also some families only visible if cut plane is above them or cuting through them, try to change your cut plane settings.

Check in properties if there is view template assigned set to none. Thanks

It's your View Range - set the cut plane above the object.

I just checked your family put the cut plane of floor plan above the equipment elevation, it will show up in plan thank you.

Ahh thank you for figuring it out!

How do I change the cut plane in the family?

You change it in the plan view, Under 'View Range'.

Message 8 of 14

not in the family.. in your floor plan-->properties-->extents-->view range-->cut plane, set it above the top elevation of the equipment.

I need to keep my cut plane at 1000 though because then it cuts through all my windows and other families I have in my model like the elec meter box, otherwise, it won't cut through everything else. Is there no way of showing it even if it's outside the cut plane?

Then create a plan region (View, Plan Views, Plan region) and adjust the height for only that part of the plan.

VIEW-->PLAN VIEWS--> PLAN REGION

Create a sqaure around your box, finish. select that region change cut plane.

Go to Ribbon - View, Plan Views, Plan Region and draw a rectangle around your family.  Adjust the height of the region to about 2000mm.
