Revit Extensions 2017 element numbering too slow

Hello ,

I am trying to give a numbers of set of columns (44pcs). The project is not big.

When the columns are selected and I click Extentions "Element positioning" it takes a lot of time "Collecting elements from the project"  Any idea why?  It is the same for very small projects

Sorry to hear that you are having issues.

Can you please post a journal and a screencast of what you are experiencing?

Meanwhile, Here is an article which discusses on a lot of reasons for slow performance in Revit. There are some steps to try such as disabling add-ins that you can try. For graphics cards, please check the certified list for cards that have been tested with Revit.

Just for a simple 6 storey residential building it is "collecting elements from the project"  10 minutes when

I am  using "Element Positioning" extention to number some columns.

Most probably it is some hardware thing , because on the colleagues computer it doesn't take so long .

The attached picture and the journal are not for one and the same project, but the problem stays for all the versions of the Revit, that I have installed on my computer.
