Revit Dynamo

I would need som help cause i have never used Dynamo and my knowledge in acad and revit is low.
So i have a 2D plan and one 3D dwg model with trees, in addition to one blank landscape revit file, where i can find the necessary tree families to place according to positions in the DWGs. It would be nice if the trees can be z-positioned as an option (but also possible to turn z-positioning off), hence both a 2d and a 3d file. The dwg files are geolocated. Can someone explain this for me in a easier way? Where should i start to be able to make this?

If your level of knowledge in CAD, Revit, and Dynamo is low, you will need to hire someone to do this for you. This can be done with Dynamo, yes, reading the insertion point of block in the CAD file, then and placing equivalent families in Revit using the coordinates of those insertion points.

Why are you thinking you need Dynamo for this?

I agree with the other posters on this. Dynamo is an automation tool for Revit. Crudely it automates a lot of what you do in Revit manually. So if you do not have a good understanding of Revit I would not start with Dynamo. I would say make sure you get experience with Revit and feel comfortable working within Revit before starting with Dynamo.

Please mention Revit version, especially when uploading Revit files.
