Revit Drafting Views - Is it possible to show tags sample texts in drafting views?

Hi all,

I am updating the company's template, and have several drafting views with text types, linestyles,etc.. I would also want to have another drafting view for tag types, but when I insert them into the view the text shows "?" - so it doesn't recognize the tag family sample text for the parameters.

I know that you can show tags with sample text values in Legend views, but is not ideal to split the standards in 2 locations, in particular considering that the Legend folder doesn't provide sorting options.

I understand that there are reasons for this behavior on Drafting Views (normally the actual tag value would be displayed in the view) but I was wondering if there would be any workaround for me to get all our standards in drafting views.

Many thanks in advance,

No possible since drafting view require you to reference to an object. Only work around is to add generic annotation into the tag

Load this into the project. Both drafting & legend will shared the same setting.

When you add the tag for legend and drafting view, it will appear the same.

Thanks for your reply Syman. I knew this one would be tricky!

Thanks also for adding a possible solution - I thought about that, but being this a template, I would rather keep the families clean even if I have to split standards through Draft views and legends.

Why don't you convert those drafting views to legend views?
