Hie,

I'm trying to zoom in with the middle mouse button but it won't allow me. It allows me to do less and a little more but it locks away from the element.

Regards

hi

I think the problem here is the DWG. when you linked it, is there a popup message? normally, if there is something in the CAD too far away, your linked CAD will have inaccuracies and difficulty zooming.

Thank you very much for your reply. I have checked the dwg file and there is nothing strange about it or anything far from the origin. I deleted the dwg link in revit but the problem remains.

Regards.

So, the DWG IS far, far away from the Internal Origin?  If so, better inform the BIM Manager.  Let 'em know about Revit's Distance Limit.  Perhaps he isn't aware of it. In any case, it's an easy fix.  Just move the DWG closer to the IO. If it's Shared, then reconcile afterwards.

Hi,e

I mean that there isn´t much distance from origin point to the geometry.

I was referring to the distance between the DWG and the Internal Origin of Revit.

Why don't you post your RVT (w/ DWG) here for us to test.

Unfortunately, screenshot doesn't help.  Additionally, your issue may not even be related to the DWG location. That was only an educated guess. Another educated guess is that maybe a cookie crumb got stuck in the mouse wheel.  Only half kidding.  Bottom line is that this is a tough one to troubleshoot.  Could be anything.  We could be here for days or weeks just throwing out guesses.

@FRAN1972   Does the problem happen in any view?

If you try this in a copy of the model, does this help to identify the element?

  1. Open the view.
  2. Right click and select "zoom to fit", the view will go white, this is always an indication there are far away elements.
  3. Make a box Select on the white screen in different quadrants.  (not selecting your actual model that you want to keep)
  4. The elements will be selected, some of which are far from the origin.  The filter would show which elements are selected.
  5. Delete these.
  6. Zoom to fit again.
  7. Repeat until Zoom to Fit ONLY Shows your model zoomed completely filling the display canvas.

Have you tried using a scope box? I've encountered the same problem and using a scope box helped.

Hi, this is relate dto your crop border. In the photo that i share crop border is soo huge that you cannot even see the project. In this view it does not let you to zoom in after some point. You should make the crop borders smaller. That's why scope box also helps.
