Can anyone tell me why my Revit2023 Cloud based model is crashing when i try to use a User Keynote. The problem isn't consistent but when it does crash it's when I'm adding a User Keynote. Here is the end of the journal with the crash log.

The problem isn't consistent?

What OS are you using? Win 11 by chance? If Win 11, you may want to report to Autodesk via opening a Support case.

No, its not consistent. I can make a user keynote and it won't crash and other times it will, but when it crashes it is always when I'm about to add a keynote. You can see that portion in the crash log. I can't tell if it's when I add a user keynote to the keynote text file and then reload it or if its the keynoting itself. I am using Windows 10.

What is the system configuration you have , Ram, Rom, HDD or SSD, Grpahics card, Processor, can you send the processor serial number like example I7-"7700K"I just wanted to see is this a problem with system or software.

I have found the following in the Error.

' 0:< System (MB) [Available / Total ] [Revit Memory Usage (MB) ]
' 0:< RAM Statistics: 40756 / 57343 7866=InUse 8820=Peak
' 0:< VM Statistics: 134169508 / 134217727 7998=InUse 8935=Peak

Peak indicating that you may have low space in C -Drive.

What is the free space in C drive check and if its less than 150gb you need to cear the catch and temp file and reload the BIM 360 project and check once.

Can you try placing the keynote text file into the Revit Library location and check this may solve the issue.

@narsimhamurthy21, I was just talking about this with my IT. Why is VM being used when there is still Ram? Or, is it that Revit only gets an allotment of the Ram, and when maxed it must use the paging file (VM)? Also why 150? What is the magic of 150?

the system in our case is,

The Hard Drive has 286 used and 187 free,
12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-12900 2.40GHz
32.0 GB of Ram
64bit windows 10 Pro

One of my student laptop dead after facing issue like this. I have seen many Revit users run Revit software with low ram and storage this also cause the errors as you mentioned above.

To make Revit work smoothly it need space of at least 80gb free space in C drive if not it will not work as we expected.

150gb is not a magic its how this software works as seen from past 15years when you have this much memory there would not be any issue with memory.

It seems like you need to update the software from autodesk app like hotfix, patches etc.

If there are any updates pending on windows update and restart and check this might solve the issue.

If issue still persist you need to download the bim360 file and open locally and see if it works there could be problem with the file. Any one of the above will solve your issue I believe.

Harddrive, as in HDD?

Do you have the page file settings on Auto, or did you use some specific configuration? Best to leave all decisions to windows in Auto.

the windows task manager isn't the best tool to get a lot of detail, but if you don't meddle with Windows, and with 32GB you should at least have enough RAM to not crash. Unless we talk huge project here.

Applied the latest update?
