Revit arhitecture link or not in Revit MEP

I have a question about linking Revit arhitecture model when creating electrical plan.
Problem is that most families are created for wall/floor based and they can't be attached to linked model. So is it any other possible solution instead creating new face base families?

Or is it better way to create electrical plan directly in arhitectural model?

Thank You

It's better to create a new file and then link architectural model into your file, then start doing your electrical plan...etc.... thanks

Thank You for answer. But that means I need to create new face based families (which have wall/floor based host) for linked model?

If you use the MEP families, you won't have that problem.

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.
