Hi Guys,

Am Working in Precast Layout. While Preparing the Structural Layout. i Need to add a length in beam tag with  as per beam length.how i place the tag with beam lenth. If Anybody knew this problem.Try to solve and send to me

Hi there,

 

Somebody correct me if I am wrong, but as far as I know you cant add "length" as an intelligent parameter.

U can create a shared parameter for length, but it will require you manually enter & track information.

 

My suggestion would be to use the Mark or Model parameter in the tag to uniquely identify each beam & use a supporting beam schedule.
The schedule can give you lenghts & will automatically update as model changes.

Hi,

 

You can use tool Lenght form set of tools Analyze from CGS Revit Tools. Tool does exactly what you need. You select the elements, for whom you want to create shared parameter Lenght and activate the tool. It creates a shared parameter in all selected elements and then it could be scheduled.
