Hello Autodesk Revit support team,

We have chooses the Revit Add-In product and require some technical assistance.

We have to create a Revit Add-In custom toolbar using Revit 2016. The toolbar have few buttons in Revit Panel (see below snapshot like Import/Export). On button click, we have to launch a web container with embedded browser which renders the web page like Login Page. which might require to communicate the status back to plugin whether user successfully logged in or not.

For Example : I have to open the web page in which I have to login with valid credentials, after successful login I have to select a client and project from this web form. Now the Revit plugin should get all these selected information(login status, selected client name and selected project name) from web form.

Problem/Concern:

  1. What web container suitable to achieve this, as of now we tried with window form and run web page inside it: see below problem with communication with this scenario?
  2. We are not able to communicate back to Revit plugin from web container taken right now as a window form and render the web page inside it?
  3. We have to know how to put these button so on direct click can launch the web container.

Please suggest us how can we achieve this. Please help us, we are ready to have a small meeting with you to discuss more on this if the provided information is not sufficient for your understanding

Please suggest, if we can have a meeting in this regards or share your contact information to dial the number.

We would love to hear back from you.

Best Regards,

Vipin
