Hello - I am a theatrical lighting designer who uses Revit as our main design software for easier integration with other consultants via ACC, as we mainly focus on installations within permanent entertainment venues. The other side of our company focuses on temporary installations such as shows, concerts, and festivals, and uses Vectorworks as their medium of design, which allows them to export MVR files directly into lighting control software for direct 3D visualization.
Previously, we have used Vectorworks as an intermediary between Revit and the lighting control software to create these MVR files, which essentially doubles the work we have already done in Revit. We are currently exploring a more direct approach from Revit to MVR, which would include family and 3D data that could be directly imported into the lighting control software and cut down on time spent in our workflow.
Wondering if anyone here has experience with this or has experimented similarly and could point me in a more calculated direction to find a solution.
Thank you!
