Revit 2024 export to dwf doesn't work properly

Hi All,

I use to have no problem exporting my Revit files to DWF format while I was using Revit 2022.

But Now I'm using Revit 2024 and I realized if I have a linked .rvt inside another file and If I have copied the link file multiple times in the project, Revit only exports one of them and ignores the rest which is very wired.

Take a look at the sample project below

Does anyone know anything about it?

Best Regards,

Leo

hi, I noticed now we share the same problem. I published a message today under the office name and while I was waiting for a reply I noticed you have\had the same problem. I also noticed you didn't get any reply so I was wondering if the problem was solved and if so could you please share with me your solution? Thanks a lot. Sigal

Hi,

The answer I got from Autodesk Support was that it's better to directly append a Revit file in Nawisworks and then save it as an NWD file.

It doesn't work for me though because when you append a Revit file, all the hidden files are visible. I usually create a special view for exporting the project to dwf and I hide particular objects that I don't want to be exported. Unfortunately, it doesn't work in Revit 2024.

If you found anything, please let me know.

Hi,

Our BIM team has encountered the same thing, the work around that was done is to just download a local copy of model set from ACC and Bind the Links then proceed to export DWF as per normal. Hopefully Autodesk can have a Hotfix for this soon.
