Revit 2020 regenerate wall revisions

Revit 2020 very slow or not able to regenerate wall revisions. For example, trying to mirror wall on 45 degree axis, Revit seems to hang up and not execute the revision. Keep getting message "not responding". This happens on both of my computers.

Also, for the last two days, unable to set up a call appointment for this problem. Keep being sent back to support page every time.

Lets start with your Computer Specs. Can you share them?

I'm having this issue too.  It's incredibly frustrating.  I'm trying to update wall locations and it's taking a long time to move a wall.  It's not a very big model either.  We just updated our machines to windows 10.  I didn't have this issue before doing that and updating to revit 2020.2.1.

I have a similar issue. Every time I try to create, move etc. a wall the model will regenerate for roughly 3-5 seconds.

This is very time consuming and I could not work out a fix.

PC Specs:

Ryzen 2700x at base clocks

x470 gigabyte aorus master

32 gb RAM at 2933 mhz

Revit and file are located on a m.2 nvme ssd (Samsung 970 Evo)

GTX 1060 6GB on latest drivers 456.55

The file is currently 32 mb big.

Here is a list of what I ve tried:

update my nvidia drivers to 456.55

add 16 GB of RAM to my previously 16GB

clean reinstall of revit 2021

delete all attached files in revit, any .dwg, .ifc etc.

delete user settings of revit 2021 in registry

tried to copy the model to a new file just to see if the problem pursists. (yes, it does.)

I have a request running with the support right now but am still waiting for a response as of posting.

If anyone had a similar issue and found a fix please let me know.

I found out that if I disable Structural & Analytical on all floor elements it no longer lags. Hope that helps!

I found a solution:  Select all of your floor elements and disable Structural & Analytical in the Properties window.  Hope it works for you too!
