Revit 2020 installs to PLK language?

So I let the Autodesk Desktop App install Revit 2020 for me which I have not done before (always just downloaded from the portal).  I'm not sure if it was that or Revit 2020 or what, but it installed in Polish (PLK). I don't know a word of Polish, I've never had my machine set to Polish, I have never done anything in Polish ever....  How do I get it back to English?  I have updated one shortcut to use the /language ENU shortcut and that will get it back to English, but when I 'pin to taskbar' the taskbar version returns to the PLK mode...

Any idea how I get 2020 back to English as a default?  Do I have to remove and reinstall?

yeah I know that, but the task bar shortcut doesn't seem to respect that, plus when I just double click a file it doesn't use a shortcut so it goes back to PLK... Where is it getting PLK from and how do I eradicate it?

Were you in Poland by chance when you ran the Desktop App installer?   I think  it goes by IP Location.

But check your Desktop App settings....you can select your Product Language there.  Probably will have to uninstall and reinstall though to get the English version.

And Steve, what are you doing double clicking from file explorer, you should know better... 😉

No I have never been to Poland in my life, would be fun to go sometime though :).  You are correct, my Desktop App was indeed set to Polish, though how it got that way I have no idea, I didn't know that setting existed.  Anyway I guess I will be playing a fun game of uninstall/reinstall :).

HAHA, fair enough...  I guess the task bar is the biggest annoyance since that's where I usually launch from.  However since I'm doing software development most of the files I open anymore are small test files without worksharing so less wrist-slap worthy than in a design office on real projects (but still probably a little worthy) :).
