Revit 2019 Steel Connection Add-in error

The 2019_0_1 install fails, we get this message:t

The probable cause use of this error - "Error 1310. Error writing to file. Verify that you have access to that directory" is that you don't have necessary permissions to write into some system folders.

Solution:

• Go to C:\Program Files
• Right-click on Autodesk folder and click Properties
• Go to Security tab
• Click on Edit... to change permissions
• In the new dialog window, click on Administrators and then check the box Full Control below. Then do the same for Users.
• Click Apply and OK to apply changes. Then do the same in the remaining dialog window.

Repeat the above steps for each of the following folders:

• C:\Program Files\Common Files\Autodesk Shared
• C:\Program Files (x86)\Autodesk
• C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Autodesk Shared
• C:\ProgramData\Autodesk

Note: If you cannot locate the folders mentioned,  enable hidden files and folders.
