Revit 2019 Materials Library

All of my materials in Revit 2019 are showing up with a "!" and message "For improved rendering replace the current appearance asset in this material with a newer version." I have downloaded the Revit 2019 Materials Library but do I have to manually reassign every material in the library to get any materials to show up?

Hi @Anonymous

I see that you are a new visitor. Welcome to the Revit Architecture forum.

Please see AKN article: Message: "For improved rendering, replace the current appearance asset in this material with a newer...

Issue:
Some available materials have an orange icon with an exclamation mark after opening the material database in Revit.

The following message appears when hovering over the icon:

For improved rendering, replace the current appearance asset in this material with a newer version.

User-added image

Causes:
There is newer material available with improved rendering quality.

Solution:
To replace the current material with the newer one, follow the steps YouTube video Revit 2019: Physically-based Material Assets.

This message suggests that replacing the current material with a newer version would improve rendering.

Note: It is not mandatory to replace assets and in some instances newer versions of the material do not exist or match exactly.

hi, yes i have the same issue all the material are old

I pick the material from the new library of Autodesk and I recreate a new library

it is long but after you have a better quality

and I advise you to do not use the old material it could cause trouble
