Revit 2019 Export to ADSK

I just installed Revit 2019.  I do not see the feature to export to ADSK exchange file.  It was under File then Export.  Does anyone know what happen to this feature?  Did it get deleted or move?

Thank you,

Douglas

It might be coming later:

Not available in the current release

The following features and workflows are not available.

  • Exporting building sites to ADSK files
  • Publishing to Autodesk Buzzsaw
  • Suite workflows
  • Communicator

Thank you for letting me know.  Do you know why Autodesk removed it?

No idea.  Since they say it is not available with this release there was probably an issue with the new programming and left it out instead of releasing something that doesn't work.

Hi @Anonymous

Yes, as mentioned by @Anonymous these four features were removed from 2019. More information HERE

Here's feedback from the team:

  • Exporting building sites to ADSK files was related to utilization and focusing efforts in other site related areas.
  • For example on the roadmap it was mentioned: We are continuing to invest in improving how civil engineers and architects can collaborate better on the site design process to improve the sharing of information, support accuracy, and help reduce re-work.
  • See the roadmap for more information.

Hope that helps!

@Viveka_CD  Autodesk removed the export to ADSK- so how do we coordinate process piping with CIVIL3D?

@Anonymous  This may be what I was looking for- how do we coordinate without it? C3D take Revit directly?

Will it be possible for you to email me.  I do not understand your post.  Is there a workflow that will allow Revit 2020 to export an ADSK now for Civil 3D 2020?  Viveka from Autodesk, could you please respond.

It looks like it has become a dead format.

For now we export 3D Views with a circle+North arrow to use as the CAD origin point to track.

The Yard pipes then connect to the center line in the D--3D-ISO.dwg exports

Update on this... i talked to several people at AU this year. i was told "the functionality was deprecated in 2019, and as far as they know, there is no immediate plans to replace it.". All the other options i have tried do not work as well as the ADSK did.  it was suggested to post the need for this feature in the Ideas page to add it back or replace it with something comparable.
