REVIT 2019.2 takes forever to load 3D View

Anonymous
Not applicable

When trying to open a 3D view in the Revit 2019.2 model, it takes up to 6 minutes for the 3D view to load, then each time I adjust the clip range add an additional 6 minutes!  While processing this, the drawing session goes into Not Responding mode.

When using the Selection Box (BX) command, this does NOT provide a 3D view!  It just hangs the model!

The only way to close this would be to Alt Ctrl Del this and End Task and re-open the model.  Everything else seems to work just fine!

The other 3 ppl accessing this same model have no problems at all.  Seems I am the only one that does!  We are each working remotely, via a remote website app called Connectwise.com

Do you actually sit there waiting the whole 6 minutes???  What do you do to pass the time?  Organize the paper clips?  Doodle?  Thumb wrestle?  I'll bet the left thumb wins most of the time.

The last thread you authored described the same kind of scenario. Basically, you waiting an obscene amount of time for Revit to do something that normally takes seconds.  Maybe it's time to upgrade your computer.  That ever occur to you?

I'll not respond to your first two lines of meaningless 'text'.

I'm aware of the time how long it should take to load, as I figured IT might ask the question does it load. I posted this as I had hoped someone with some level of technical knowledge in this regard may have experienced this type of thing before and be able to offer a resolve.

As far as Hardware is concerned, this has already been asked and answered, nothing apparently wrong with this aspect of the equation.  I've suggested that they do a remove reinstall of the s/w as this applies to me and not the rest of those who accessing the model daily w/o probs!
