Revit 2018 won't launch

Hello there,

I have looked at numerous posts and tried re-installing many times, but Revit 2018 won't launch properly. When I open the software, the splash screen hangs for a few seconds, disappears and nothing follows.

I started with Revit 2019, but due to my University, I have to use 2018 for compatibility. I followed a lengthy guide on removing Revit 2019 to install 2018, and that was fine, but the aforementioned issue was there. I then removed Revit 2018 and installed it again through the installer, no luck, and then tried downloading its files in the entirety but alas, to no avail.

Since I have a student version could someone please lend a hand?

P.S I have attached a Journal file because I hear that's a thing.

Think you have to update the revit.
