Revit 2018_screen lines appearing

Radial screen lines appear on some views within Revit 2018 project files when opened on my desktop. These lines only appear on 3D views and on 2D floor plans. I wonder whether they are linked with an imported site plan on this file?

They do not appear when I commence a new project, without an imported site plan.

As the first step, To make sure that the issue you are seeing is not something already fixed in one of the product updates, I would suggest checking the Desktop App to see if there are any Revit updates available. Check Revit 2018 updates 

Enable hardware acceleration on the Graphics tab of the Options dialog.

Hello, it could be a link cad or import cad drawings, go to VG and if there are cad drawings link. Thanks

Thanks for quick reply.

There is a CAD drawing linked to project.
The radial lines seem to generate from the "Site: Project Base Point"
marker.

I still don't know how to remove the radial lines, or how to remove linked
CAD drawing.

Hello, you can go to insert > link manager > cad and delete from there but if you still need those cad files you have to open in autocad and clean as much as possible and link again into Revit. thanks

Since you've mentioned that a CAD drawing is linked to your project -

• Try inserting the files with the 'center to center' option, with manually re-positioning and pin it. (click the option 'Correct Lines That Are Slightly Off Axis')
• If you still continue to face these glitches, try importing your dwg file as a 2D drafting element family
• Linking is preferred because it does not bring in any unwanted exploded objects which can get converted to Revit elements.
• Do a fresh clean up of your cad file (recommended before you link)

1. Check for xrefs  and bind them to the drawing, using the Insert option to prevent redundant layers.
2. Run SETBYLAYER. This command removes any color, linetype, or lineweight overrides from objects.
3. Run PURGE. This command removes any unused layers, linetypes, blocks, and styles.
4. Freeze any layers you don’t need.
5. Save the Cad file and try linking it again in Revit.

Best practices to follow when linking  DWG files into Revit

As suggested by @ennujozlagam a clean up of the CAD dwg is good practice. Let me know if the above steps help with your issue.

Thank you for a thorough response.

However, it now seems that even Revit files done on this computer, even
without any CAD file links, will show screen lines.

My desktop computer was upgraded to try to resolve this Revit problem.
That obviously did not work.
The computer specs should be enough fro Revit 2018.

Perhaps I need to uninstall and then reinstall the program.
