The Orbit Tool isn't working on Revit 2018 on a file created in Revit Architecture 2014.  Anyone know if this is normal?

Interesting. Understand though, that it's not a 2014 file in your 2018 project; it's a 2014 file upgraded to 2018 in your 2018 project.

What I'm saying is that Orbit settings are not coming from the file.

What exactly is the issue you are experiencing?

Is there a way to enable orbit for the file?

May I ask what you mean by "enable orbit for the file"?

I can't use orbit on the objects in this file. Files created in 2018 allow orbit to work. I need to use orbit on this file.

... hi @Anonymous

... the orbit tool is not attached to your project

... it is part of REVIT

... you can go and open your orbit wheel here

.... there you go your steering wheel

... with ORBIT

Picture2.png

....or if you can not find it , because is hidden

... you can re open it here

 Picture3.png

.... or what you have is a locked view

... go here and check it to unlock

... this way you can ORBIT

If you like shortcuts, use shift+middle mouse button, that should work.
