My experience is that you are stuck with it.

 

I have a new Core I7 Thinkpad from work and had Revit 2016. We are part of a large multi-national company.

 

I disabled hardware acceleration.

 

The IT people tried updating the graphics driver - Revit wouldn't even open until it was put back to the old one.

 

So Revit 2017 was installed. OK for a week or so then "A required resource is unavailable". I can't even open a new drawing without it and it crashes if I try to edit a family.

 

I am meant to be transferring from Acad to Revit but have come to accept that it is never going to happen. I can't waste anymore time on it.

 

Maybe try a different computer or just accept that AutoCAD is still better in practice.
