Hello everybody.
I created new material library and everything became very good. But now there is something wrong with it. I can’t open it anymore, it seems empty. I tried to remove it and open it again then also no result.
I made a copy with new name and it’s not responding.
any solutions?.
Thanks a lot.

The *.adsk library file is typically located here by default: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Autodesk Shared\Materials\<product version>.

Thank you for replying,
I mean my material library (I'm working on it to suit our works) and the yellow sign beside it, which means it can't load correctly. (Take a look on attached picture).
Any information about that?
Thanks again.

Hi @Anonymous

You have to specify the exact path for this !!

Go to Revit Application Interface(Logo Icon) --> Options -->Specify the material library location path

I thought it should be work

Check it and confirm.

Thanks

Lakshman

Thank you for replying,
I tried it before. the same happened, I added a new path in places after creating new material library and choose it, it appears only in material browser as known. It doesn't work also. I don't know if the size of Adsklib file affect on that, it's about 9 Mb already.

Opening a "2108" adsklib file in 2017?   I don't think adsklib files are backward compatible.

No..

I created it on Revit 2017 and I still use it, but I lately downloaded Revit 2019, I don't know if that's the reason.

I'm confused.  Thread title is "Revit 2017 missing my new material library".  Name of the adsklib that you are having issues with is "EMC materialLibrary2018".  Now you say you just installed 2019.  Which version is throwing this error?

How did you load the adsklib?  Did you use "Open Existing Library"?

I still use Revit 2017,  "EMC materialLibrary2018" just a name because I created it last year.

Thank you very much.

I fixed the problem, I delete the broken version, and insert a last valid one from backup. Then I named it as EMC material library for 2017, and made a copy for 2019 and the both are working correctly at different REVIT versions.

Thank you everybody.
