Revit 2017 - Loading family to project would not bring you back to your latest

Hi,

I have noticed in Revit 2017 (2015 and 2016 is not a problem) , when you go to edit a family from a view in a project and then loading the family back in in, it will not bring you back to the same view as you were in when you started editing the family. This started to annoy me Smiley Mad . Is there a setting somewhere that I don't know about?

Thanks,

Tile the views side-by-side (WT). You might find that workflow less aggravating.

I use tiling every now and then. I am not a big fan of it. it makes the windows too small. even on a 24" screen. but tiling has it uses too.

I think its a glitch with 2017. 2016 worked just fine

I don't remember it ever functioning differently.

Ever use the Preview Visibility in the Family? That might help you too, @Soroush_Bahrani.

The preview works good only for the families that has been set up properly. nevertheless, sometimes I find myself editing families in the family editor.

I was trying to replicate the problem in a basic project I just had created. The plan was take screen shots both in 2016 and 2017 to show you exactly what I mean but of course everything works the way it suppose to now!!!

I will keep this in mind for a project I am working on currently and will take screen shots when this problem happen again.

I have not find a solution yet. I was able to replicate the problem and I wanted to screen shot it but I don't think that will accomplish anything.

seems like the more windows to have open in a project (main floor, section, etc, etc..) the more chance there is when you load that the family you are editing will not bring you back to the same page as when you started editing the family. 2016 and 2015 works the way it suppose to. only 2017 being glitchy for me and people in our office at least  anyway!
