Revit 2017 Keystroke for measuring tool

Hi Everyone:

Unable to activate the measuring tool via keystroke, even after entering the designation in the keystroke shortcut.  This is a big time saver and would appreciate this being addressed in the next patch.

Does your keyboard shortcuts dialogue look like the attached image? I have used shortcut: DLI as an example

The keyboard shortcuts only work if you are in the right view to use the tool or function activated by the shortcut.

This keystroke has been used successfully on multiple prior versions of Revit in the exact view(s) I am attempting to  use it in this version of Revit.  My keystrokes have been imported into 2017 per Autodesk import method.  This KS command now does not work on 2017.

You may have multiple shortcuts that are available starting with ME. For example, if you type ME, but you have a shortcut MES and MEA.... Revit doesn't finalize your shortcut selection. After typing ME, you may use the arrow keys to see your available options in the lower left corner of the screen, and press enter to select the right one. Either that or change your shortcut lettering so it isn't a problem.

I realize this is a super old thread, but I just came across the same problem.
