Revit 2017 can't start after Windows update

Hello!

I have been experiencing this problem, when my windows 10 automatically updated (12.5.2017) I just can't start Revit. After double click on the icon it starts loading, but nothing happens. I tried every way to start the program. When I try to open rvt project, an error message pops up- "there was a problem sending command to the program." All this also happend after update about two weeks back (5.5.), I "resolved" it by rolling back the update. Now it is not possible, windows says that the latest update was 10 days before (not true). Also, weird is that revit is running as process in task manager, but there is no icon, I can't access the program.
Can anyone help? Or have similar issue?

Good morning

I'm going crazy. Last windows update: 3 days ago.

Revit is not working anymore. I unistalled every autodesk product, removed every folder and file and then re-installed it.

When i launch Revit, in 5 seconds it closes automatically and report an error.

AutoCAD begin opening task, "Loading", and never change the "Loading" status.

I attach the revit journal file if it could help to solve the problem.

Thanks

Denis

Thank you for the reply.

No one method found in this thread, and the update too, has worked.

I attach the error message, and the new journal file.

I googled for the error, tried the re-install of visual c++, uninstalled removing all the files and re-installing, but nothing.

Thank you for helping

Hi @Anonymous

Sorry to hear that the hotfixes, visual C++ reinstall didn't help resolve this issue.

Thanks for sharing your journal file. We will troubleshoot for errors and let you know.

I have also emailed you a private folder link and a collector utility for Revit 2017, please run it and upload the results in this folder.

Let me know if are able to access the folder or have questions in extracting results from the collector utility for Revit 2017.

Looking forward to your reply update.

Regards,
