Revit 2015 - Design Options

Hi there

I work on several design options.

I've duplicated the 1st option and I'm amending the copies as new options.

In one of the generic models within the 2nd option, I can modify the extrusions, but can't create new ones.

I get this message:

"An element may not reference an element in another Option of the same Option Set."

Is there a way to remove any reference from the generic model?

In addition, I can't create any new generic model. I get the same message.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi,
You had posted this question in the A360 Rendering forum. I moved it to the Revit forum since this is a question specific to Revit features.

Can someone on this forum, please help.

Some things to be mindful of when working with Design Options are that the hosting properties of some family types may prevent you from moving that item into a new Option without taking it's host along with it - For example, in order for a Door or Window to be moved into an Option, they would require the Wall that they are hosted in to go alogn with them. In some cases, items that have been constrained and locked to one another, may produce errors when seperating them into different options - For example, a Framing Wall and a Veneer Wall that have been locked and joined together, may produce an error when the veneer wall is pushed into a new option. Also, if you have an Option Active, you will not be able to create new family types until you deactivate the option and return to Main Model.

For your particular situation, I may need to see the project or learn more about what you are trying to do in order to more specifically address your question.
