Reveals and Sweeps profiles included under Edit Types are limited

I notice there are some shapes under Reveal and Sweeps under the Wall Buttom, and you can see the Default Shape notch and other brick void shapes that I can add to the building elevations without having to go to the wall sections for the sweeps, which is a laborious process.

My question is, the Profiles seen in the Edit Type dialog are limited and are not what I want to add to  the exterior walls elevations.  I can add the default shapes, but not what I need.

Under the Profiles of the Library Division Profiles, there are some V Shapes and another Tapered North Profile.rfa which are what I need.  How can I add these to the list shown on the Edit Type dialog so these could be added quickly to the exterior elevations vertically and horizontally?

Thanks in advance.

Change the "Profile Usage" Parameter.

Where is the Property dialog with the specific heading "Family: Profiles" and the "Profile: Generic" information where you can make that change? (The property dialog that shows up in the building elevation and in the family drawing in the Library of the shape do not shows the information, it seems, unless it might be hidden there somewhere).

To simply put the original Wall Reveal question again:

  1. There is a out of the box Profile on Revit 2020 US Imperial Library: under US Imperial/Profiles/Division Profiles named “Tapered Notch.rfa”.  That profile, and some other revised variations of it, is what I want to add to the concrete tilt up walls of a building model (By the way, as is well known by all architects, that "Reveal" profile is very commonly used on tilt up concrete walls, and might be the second most commonly used shape after the "V" shape and the "Default" shape mentioned below).
  2. On The Revit Program, looking at a Building Elevation of the building model where you see the exterior walls where you might want to add that profile shape referenced in No. 1 above, if you click the pull down menu of “Wall”, the last tool included there is “Wall Reveal”.  If you click that tool, there appears a tab named “Modify/Place Reveal” where you see two new tools named “Horizontal” and “Vertical”. You can then click one of these and put a reveal on the elevation of the exterior wall of the building (the reveal can be quickly inserted using these two tools either horizontally or vertically on the wall elevation, depending on which tool you choose).
  3. However, if you click one of the new added reveals on the wall and go to “Edit Type” under property and you look at the Profiles available on the Type Properties dialog, there is a Default, one with a “C” shape, and some other brick reveals, but to a surprise, there is not other way shown there to allow the addition to that list, which is limited, and neither there is a way to change the shape or dimension of any of the profiles shown there using the “Duplicate” bottom.
  4. Remember from Sentence No. 1 above that we wanted to use the “Tapered Notch.rfa” Profile using the simple Reveal horizontal and Vertical tools mentioned on No. 2 above.

What is the way to add that “Tapered Notch.rfa” to the list shown on the Properties Dialog mentioned on No. 3 above, so these could be added quickly with the two Reveal Wall tool?

Thanks in advance.

Open the profile family and you see the Usage in Properties.

When I open that profile, the property palette on the left do not show "Usage".  It is possible that this profile is not of the type that can be shown on the referenced list to be added with the vertical and horizontal tools?  Or it is possible that something else needs  to be done for this profile to be shown on the list there?

I am still at a lost.

Progress: I create the Tapered Notch profile from the Expansion Joint Profile (i.e., revised the Expansion Joint and saved as and renamed it), and was able to load it into the project and add it to the east building wall of the building (in elevation) using the two Reveal tools, now that this new Profile also appears in the list of "Profiles".   The profile showed on the building elevation wall when I offset it from the wall its depth of 3/4".  It also shows well on the 3D of the building and on the section of the wall.

Thanks again the advising.
