Restoring a deleted element to a group

Any idea how to restore a group element that was deleted outside the group? I want to resotre it in order to delete it proprely and get rid of its phantom presence. Revit has a bug with this, it does not allow restoring in this case but forces you to ungroup the group. In this case, doing so entails redoing the entire project. Not Possible!!!

If anyone has an idea I will be grateful. This bug is an old one...

What about just replacing the Group with the original that's still in your Project Browser?

As I wrote in the post, not possible. Too much correction work afterwards. I know the long way. Was wandering if anyone has a clever workaround.

Open one of your backup files (e.g. one of the .00X rvts) and start again from there.  This time, do it right.  😉
