Removing Linked CAD causes RCP model walls and ceilings to disappear

Thanks in advance for your help.

I linked Mechanical CAD drawings into my RCP view of my model. When I later removed the linked CAD file all the walls and ceilings in my model disappeared in the RCP. I managed to save my view by undoing the removal of the linked file (CTL Z). I am working with the model by hiding the linked CAD in my view, but my consultants have discovered this same issue. Anyone know what is going on here?

Phasing? Filters? Worksets? Could be any one of these.

However, filters could be the most likely culprit - they can go crazy for no reason at all.

Try this - remove one filter, see the display. If nothing changes, then undo. Go through the filters one at a time. When removing a filter makes the display go back to normal - that's the filter that you want to remove.

My guess, the walls you were seeing were in the CAD file? Once it was gone it revealed the situation, the walls in the view are not visible.

Also check View Range, View Template assigned, Filters, V/G Overrides, Discipline.

In some cases when a view seems to be broken, you can apply a different view template and then apply the original to reset the view. You can also create a new Ceiling Plan to see if the walls show up correctly. If they do, then compare that view's settings against your broken view(s).

Thanks for you comments.  After I removed the CAD files I checked the view range and it had to be reset. My walls and ceilings are back!
