Remove puntcuation of a value

Hello

I do have a textbased parameter that is used for positionnumbers with values like "10.02.12".

Now i like to have another column in my schedule which shows the same value without puntctuation "100212".

How can i get this without dynamo by using for example a combined parameter  or formulas?

There's not a one-step way to do this. The most BIM way to do it would be to actually have three parameters that control both your existing parameter and the new parameter you want. Those three parameters would have the three values. Your existing parameter becomes a combined parameter that has those three values separated by commas. The new parameter is combined with no separation.

Dynamo would also work, but you've said you don't want to do that. You could also just have two unrelated parameters that you fill out separately, but that's obviously not ideal either.

@ramon_pose you have to do it manually. Or use Dynamo. In Revit there is no OOTB tool in Revit that allows you to strip characters from a sting and/or splice it into multiple parameters.

Who ever have created that parameter should have done it more or less as described by mihserZFXHS. Using 3 parameters combined

• each pair of digits as a parameter
• the "" can be set as a prefix and a suffix to the first and last parameters
• and the . (dots) as separators

Thats exactly the way  i was thinking about aswell. What type of parameter should i use that i can get values with leading zeros like 01.05.01?

in our work we usually set for each piece of equipment in our projects a unique number. this numbering is semantic:

// Area

01  ---->Kitchen

// Position

03 ---->Diswashing

// Item

04 ---->Utensil Washer

// Element

01----->Chemical Dosing

01.03.04.01

we use this numbers in our descriptions in the tender files and on the plans to mark the elements
