Reload sketchup models that have changed without re-creating family

I use Hover.to to make Sketchup models of existing houses from photos for remodel projects.  I import that Sketchup model into a Revit generic model family and then insert that in my model file.  It's a great way to quickly get the "existing" house into Revit without modeling it.  However sometimes I notice little things in the Sketchup file that need a little tweek here or there - but it seems like the Sketchup file can only be inserted into the family, not linked... so after you change it, you can't reload it (like you can with image files), or can you?  Is the only way to update it to delete the Sketchup model out of the family and re-insert it in the same location?  Screenshot for interest.

Oh I found it.  If you model it in the host model (not in a family) as an in-place component --> generic model, then you can refresh the edited sketchup file. <edit: I overcame the inability to move the component up/down vertically to place it accurately in the model by making a unique level just called "Model Level" and create the component in a view made from that level and then you can move that level as needed>
