Re-placing a link in correct position

Hello

I need to place an instance of a link.  Someone accidentally deleted the link.  It is still in the model, but no instances are placed.  Is there a way to place it into its origial position.  the link has many dimensions and such that are associated to it.  I fear that if I just use a newly imported link that it will not retain any of that information.  This is not an 'unloaded' link that can be reloaded.

When I use the 'creat instance" button, it does not give realistic controls for placement.

How can I get that instance placed at its original location.  By the way: this is a one story building with no grid and much that is not axial.

Thank You

Is there a backup of the file? You could open a backup where the link is placed correctly and copy it into your latest model.

Note: Be sure to copy from a floor plan where the link is visible into the corresponding floor plan, e.g. 3rd floor to 3rd floor. It should paste into the same spot.
