RCP

I am trying to create an RCP but it isn't giving me an option to select a level, I'm fairly new to Revit so I'm still learning my way through it. Any help would be appreciated, thank you!

Looks like you already have an existing one. Instead of creating an RCP that way, why not just Duplicate the existing RCP View?  If you're creating a new one for a new Level, you need to first draw a Level in an Elevation View.

What is the benefit of duplicating an existing RCP view over the direct way of creating a new view, using the button on the ribbon to create a new view? Just seems like a funky way of going about this... especially if she is Revit newbie... It's like teaching someone on a manual transmission to clutchless shift gears before doing it the proper way.

I'm not following you.  You want me to describe the benefits of duplicating a view over creating a new view?  That's kind of apples and oranges. But, if you want to Duplicate, Duplicate with Detailing, Duplicate as a Dependent, creating a new view isn't the way to do it.

It should be located under "Ceiling Plans" in the Project Browser.  Its default name is the name of the Level.
