Hello I was trying to load some columns unto a project and for some reason one of them extends. This was the original column which I used to create the other columns, that column is centralised on the key reference planes.

Please have a look at the screencast and tell me what you think.

Thank you in advance!

Open an elevation in the family and check constraints of the column versus the others.  Why did you model them as a family?  Why not place the columns directly in project? It can be done quickly if you set up grid lines and place the column by grid line intersections.

Thank you very much it worked!

I see, please offer me more tips like this. I am new to Revit so my workflow has been such a grind thus far, knowledge is better than strength.

I am thinking that after I finish this project I will assess how my workflow could have been a lot better, in the mean time if you can point me to a resource where I can get tips like this it would be very much appreciated.

Thank you in advance,

Revit has a large learning curve. I'm self-taught, but I got a couple of books and spent the time reading them and practicing. Then I found this forum, and went back in time a year and just started reading threads. Every thread has a tip for you.
